To support our progression, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Business Analysis to join our team. This role will play a key part in driving business change as we continue to grow.

The Head of Business Analysis will join our Business Change Team, reporting directly to the IT Director who is keen to recruit an enthusiastic individual who is not afraid to challenge our company norms and bring new ideas to the table.

The successful candidate will be accountable for all business analysis within the MD Group and will therefore become a key player in the delivery of all projects and will have the chance to influence group processes and procedures shaping the direction of the company from day one.  

The primary focus will be on enabling and shaping software delivery, through critical analysis of business process, new and old. Managing a team to provide documented requirements and solutions.

You will have experience in a similar role preferably experience in a Product Owner position, with confidence in formally presenting business analysis in a variety of forms, business process flows and decision trees and/ or other outputs depending on the specific project.

Strong people management and leadership skills are pivotal to the role in order to drive a high performing BA team and also have the ability to influence other senior stakeholders to deliver quality projects.

Overview of responsibilities:

• To analyse business process and systems, both now and to be, identifying and building roadmaps for implementing change.
• Build and demonstrate a positive working environment, becoming an approachable go to for any required analysis, setting the pace for change in the company.
• To allocate the BA Team to various teams and projects ensuring successful delivery of analysis and thinking.
• To line manage the BA Team, performing 1:1s and objective setting.
• To gather, understand, analyse company data.
  • Including leading detailed discussions on its gathering, structure and meaning.
• To help derive long and short-term metrics for each process and track over time
• To drive innovation through new ideas and existing knowledge.
• Always ensure full transparency of progress and analysis.
• Seek out, build relationships and help SME’s in all areas of the company.
• Understand and help build the company data structure and platform.
• Seek feedback and look for avenues of continual improvement.
• Manage the presentation of Business analysis through various electronic means.

Experience / Skills

• Demonstrable experience in Software Delivery process and Business analysis
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Project Lifecycle knowledge.
• Suitable qualifications and experience in the following disciplines
  • Master of Business Administration, Computer Software related, Project Management
• Experience in Data Modelling, analysis, and querying
• Reliable, organised, and thorough
