What is a New Homes Warranty?

A New Homes Warranty is designed to protect homeowners of newly built or refurbished properties in the first 10 years from structural defects. 

What type of development requires a New Homes Warranty?

If you are planning to sell your newly built property after completion, whether you are building 1 or 1000+ units, you will need this warranty. Our New Homes Warranty also covers conversion and refurbishments projects of all scales, including office to residential conversions. If you are planning to live in your development for at least a year once completed you will need our Self Build Warranty.

Road and Sewer Bonds

All of our warranties can be used in conjunction depending on your development.

Special Acceptance

If the construction cost of your development is £25 million or over we offer specialist cover with our High Value Scheme which includes additional risk management. Developments of 7 storeys and above will also benefit from additional risk management, regardless of construction cost, from our High Value Projects Team.

Building Control

As an approved inspector, we can provide Building Control services alongside our Structural Warranty meaning you will only need one point of contact for all inspection services. This will ensure consistency and minimise discrepancies during inspections.

Builder and Developer Registration

You must be registered with us to get access to our comprehensive range of warranties and building control, as well as our technical support and advice. Registration is part of our application form and can be done before or while you are applying for a warranty.
