WHAT IS A COMMERCIAL WARRANTY?

A commercial warranty (also referred to as Latent Defects Insurance) protects property owners or developers from the potential of costly defects.  Using our commercial building warranty, which is a first party insurance policy, replaces the need for a collateral warranty.

 

To support transparency when it comes to selecting a structural warranty provider we will issue Insurance Product Information Documents (IPID) for all warranty schemes with any new quotation. Click here to view the IPIDs for our Commercial Warranty.

WARRANTY OVERVIEW

  • COVER PERIOD

    Flexible cover period of 10 or 12 years’ cover

  • FINANCIAL LIMITS

    Financial Limits Up to £10m

  • FULL RISK TRANSFER

    Full risk transfer from year one of cover* (The first 12 months of cover is excluded in respect of claims relating to the waterproof envelope, roads and/or car parks)

  • CAR PARK PROTECTION

    Includes protection for external car parks and associated drainage

  • COVER INCLUDES

    Additional costs, Removal of debris and Professional fees

  • OPTIONAL COVER

    Additional cover available for seepage, business interruption and loss of rent payable or receivable

    For RIBA or CIAT members

    If using Premier Guarantee as an AI, we will cover claims that do not comply with building regulations

HOW WE WORK WITH YOU

1. GET A QUOTE

Discuss your project with our dedicated Account Managers and receive a bespoke quotation based on the complexity of your build.

2. TECHNICAL AUDIT

Our team of specialists will review your designs and provide reports with constructive advice for meeting build requirements creating a bespoke technical inspection plan for your build.

3. CONSTRUCTION

Your Risk Management Surveyor will undertake onsite inspections in line with the construction of your development.

4. COMPLETION

On final inspection your Risk Management Surveyor will be able to approve your project so you can receive your Certificate of Insurance

5. COVER

Rest knowing your development is covered from day one, with full risk transfer after the Defects Insurance Period.
