This is one-day course aimed at non-technical staff instils an understanding of the stages of constructing a home. Anyone working in construction in a non-technical, non-hands-on role, such as administrators, claims handlers, and graduates.

 

 

Overview of the session

• Typical foundation types
• Below-ground works
• Floor construction
• Drainage installations
• External walls
• Upper floors
• Roof coverings
• First-fix stage, including electrical and ventilation installations
• Plastering
• Second fix
• External works


At the same time, your trainer will highlight the responsibilities of inspectors and risk surveyors in ensuring high quality homes are delivered, and how recent regulation changes have changed that role.

 

In addition, learners will discuss the standards laid out in the Premier Guarantee Technical Manual, and the best practice needed to attain those standards when building homes.
