Build a clearer picture of your levy exposure

We understand that for major regulatory change, the challenge is often finding the time and clarity to apply the rules across multiple schemes, particularly when balancing design progression, programme and submission timing. Our simple Building Safety Levy Calculator will help you assess your pipeline exposure quickly and consistently.

Understand your exposure, plan your next steps

Flexible option - no obligation until you are ready to build

Once you have a clearer view of your exposure, you may wish to consider your options for Building Control engagement ahead of the levy implementation date.

We are offering you the flexibility to submit an Initial Notice ahead of the deadline with no obligation to proceed immediately with a warranty application.

    This option is available where:

    • The project is not due to start within the next six months, and
    • A non‑refundable deposit of £300 (excl. VAT) is paid at the point of submission

Where these criteria are met, there will be no requirement to pay any further Building Control fees or apply for a warranty until you are ready to build.

For sites starting within six months of the levy implementation date, our standard payment process will apply.

Ready to submit an Initial Notice?

Any Initial Notice submissions that you would like us to process ahead of the levy deadline must be submitted no later than 14th September 2026.

This will allow sufficient time for our team to process your submission before the levy comes into force.
